Born in 1994 in Lyon, Nèle grew up in Marseille, where she now lives and works. Coming from a family of artists, she initially explored photography and video before dedicating herself to painting, her primary medium.

Her background in journalism has given her patience and a keen sense of observation, which she translates into her work by incorporating meditative techniques like embroidery. Initially focused on the representation of women, she has evolved towards a more intimate exploration of her daily life through self-portraits and still lifes.

Inspired by family archives, she creates a dreamlike universe where identity and the unconscious take center stage. Masks symbolize social roles, while trees evoke grounding and growth.

Her work, infused with memory and emotion, invites introspection between dream and reality.
